Help! I can't get out of this Catastrophic thinking trap!

Mar 06, 2022

I hope that you are having a great day so far. I WANT TO START THE DAY OFF RIGHT before I jump into the meat and potatoes of growth and fixed mindsets. Let us hunt for the good stuff in your life for a quick moment.

Are there any big or small events, accomplishments, or milestones you have achieved lately?

Are there any areas of your life you are content with or happy about?

What are some positives that you are noticing about your life?

Hunt for the Good Stuff each morning, afternoon, evening, and even before bed. This will allow you to focus on the positives in life and not dwell on the negative things in life.

Okay. The difference between a growth and fixed mindset is that people believe they can get better at anything through effort and hard work with a growth mindset. When someone has this type of attitude, they are more likely to explore new opportunities, take on challenges, and be more creative. On the other hand, people who have a fixed mindset believe that they are skilled or not skilled at something, depending on how it's initially received.

A fixed mindset is where the dangers of thinking traps are fed and grow. A person who is mentally stuck or trapped in a situation has no hope and no hope of achieving anything different in life.

To combat the dangers of thinking traps, we must have a growth mindset. A growth mindset will allow us to have an optimistic view of life and our abilities. Optimism is a critical element of emotional intelligence and resilience. We must see our way out of a situation before getting ourselves out of a problem.

When you find yourself in a fixed mindset, always hunt for the good stuff; when you are in a growth mindset, it is crucial to keep things in perspective and not lose your grip on reality.

Tomorrow, I will discuss the importance of resilience. You have to bounce back and not break when it comes to wellness.
